"Sounds like this show was recorded through a pillow"
I am a HUGE black sabbath fan, but this show is really disappointing. The sound quality is awful. It sounds like it was recorded over a cell phone or something. I can't believe that this is the best quality show existing from the time period. Why would they release such a poor quality recording? There have to be better ones in existence. This could have been remastered or something to make it sound better. I was excited when i first saw they had released this because I was itching for an uncut Black Sabbath concert. I suppose die-hard fans will have to check it out, but it may make you angry.

"10 Years"
Black Sabbath is one of my favourite bands and Ozzy Osbourne is one of my favourite vocalists. This DVD gives the true Black Sabbath power from the last moments Ozzy was in the band. This concert was performed in 1978. Geezer, Ozzy, Tony, and Bill made a concert that is excellent even to show to your kids. The track list is quite alright, only "Rock And Roll Doctor" could have been left off. The picture and sound quality are quite alright but not the best ones.
1)Symptom of the Universe
2)War Pigs
3)Snow Blind
4)Never Say Die
5)Black Sabbath
6)Dirty Women
7)Rock And Roll Doctor
8)Electric Funeral
9)Children of the Grave
10)Paranoid

"It's a shame...."
First of all, you'll be cheated by paying this much for a DVD with only 56 minutes and no extras. Second, I dont'know what they mean by "1984". This show is from 1978. Third, the record quality is awful, because this was translated from the VHS days, and it seems it suffered no digital remastering process.

Anyway, it's the only official thing you can get of the legendary "Sabbath / Osbourne" line-up.

"Not bad but a shame..."
Not bad but a shame Black Sabbath unlike so many other bands ov their time, actually threw away most material they decided NOT to put on final cuts for recordings o_O

Back then may have been more cost effective but thats how Blackmore, Deep Purple, Blackmores 'Old' Rainbow have such a tight following with all the bootlegs where as Sabbath bootlegs are just songs redone which listening to 20 billion versions ov paraniod, um, kind er gets old :-/

But still its not bad, alittle over priced for what little you get with it though.

Little trivia for anyone who remembers the album cover Never Say Die! art done by a Canadian company Hypnotics I belive, however they had one ov two for Sabbath to choose from, one being Dr's looking down into a camera as if operating on the one holding the album, the second being the empty chemical war air plane suits your lead to belive carried the lost souls ov old aviation warriors... obvious Sabbath choose the air piolits. Contrary to belife, the front photo with the aviation piolits were said to just be propts/maniquens, however to one on back is a person but unknown...

Blackmores Rainbow although bigger at the time was left with second choice, the Dr's which came to be known as the now hard to find Rainbow Difficult to Cure album cover only the original front was now the back and vice versa ;P

Enjoy!

"Great Sabbath DVD"
Don't listen to these other people. This DVD kicks ass.The sound quality is excellent and there is no talking or interviews.Ozzy's singing is right on(and in tune)and Geezer Butler's bass is incredible.Even at $25.00, this is well worth it.Buy it and enjoy.
