SOMETIMES I WONDER WHAT METALLICA WOULD SOUND LIKE TODAY IF CLIFF WERE STILL ALIVE. THIS VIDEO ALSO HAS A RARE PERFORMANCE FROM 1983 WITH THEN LEAD GUITARIST DAVE MUSTAINE, NOW FRONTMAN OF MEGADETH! "METALLICA AT THEIR VERY BEST" James, Dave, Lars, and, of course, the late great Cliff Burton himself. This was, in my view, the greatest line-up of any band. This video is a must for any hardcore Metallica fan. "Great view of Metallica's early days and Cliff's years" This is a great "for what it's worth" metallica vid...sure LIve S*** is the ultimate live vid/cd but this was a look at Metallica back when they weren't so popular, back when they were still headlining for others! Great song choices! "Great!" Cliff Burton will live forever with the making of this video. Burton is and was my all time favorite bass-guitar player and this video is in tribute of him. Even for all the Metallica fans today who didn't listen to the group when Cliff was around (I'm guessing thats 95% or more of their current fans) you get a chance to see Metallica at their best...before they went mainstream. This tape contains old concert footage with Cliff Burton as well as rare footage of the original group consisting of Dave Mustang of MegaDeth on guitar and Burton on bass. Jason Newsted has nothing on Cliff Burton who is mediocre to say the least. I truly believe if Cliff were still alive today Metallica would still be the same great Heavy Metal band that they were back in the day. "outstanding" This is metallica at its best with the best bass player ever ----- Cliff Burton its clips of Cliff at what he does best. It also has very early clips of the band before Kirk Hammet was in it... But its an over all look back at the band at their best with the best.
