![]() I got this DVD the day it came as I have been doing for all their stuff for the past 7 years. The DVD audio is great... I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about (having worked in live sound myself). The DVD contains interviews, an extra mini-concert, discography, and little bit of studio footage. The great things about this DVD is interactive menus, song selection, and audio set up. I will not comment on what the DVD does not have because that is a little unfair. But what it does have is a great show from "The World Needs A Hero" complete with new arrangements of old songs. Thanks Dave for the master piece. Hopefully we can get a DVD of the music videos soon. ![]() I just bought this DVD and it simply is nothing short of impressive. Not only is the picture, production, and the live sound fantastic. Some of the live versions of these songs are a must hear!!! For example. the solo section in "She Wolf" is amazing with guitar battles between Mustaine and Pitrelli, and a drum solo etc. And that's just one song down. This band's musicanship on this DVD is fantastic. Notice-do not listen to the reviewer who said "Warning- Kill the king, Angry Again etc. arn't on the DVD." THESE SONGS ARE TOO ON HERE!!! . The songlist on the back is out of order, but the other songs are in the "special features" section. All the songs are on this DVD. The reason I gave it a four is because sometimes the cameras are "too short of footage" on Al Pitrelli and Dave Ellefson, and way too much of Jimmy. Plus, I thought there should of been way more footage of the studio sessions of The World Needs A Hero As far as Megadeth in concert goes, this gave me a great, and more understanding of my favorite band in concert. I don't think I can make myself any more clear! It's about time they made a DVD, and this is worth the wait. ![]() I don't really like the way the DVD was edited. It is frustrating having to go to separate sections to get the extra five songs...on the box it does not say that they aren't part of the full concert. Don't get me wrong...the DVD is great, but I prefer the CD cause it is the same show and goes straight through. And what ever happened to separate shows for the DVD and the CD? Well, this is a good DVD by all means, but I think the way it was put together wasn't so smart. But it is a must have for Megadeth fans without a doubt. ![]() Megadeth has long been one of my favorite bands, going back to the 1980's. Now that they have disbanded, this live concert DVD is a great legacy of the band. The band is tight musically on this DVD, and the set list covers both old and new material. Dave doesn't waste the fan's time with a lot of chit-chat between songs, but instead rips through a broad cross section of twenty years worth of material. There is some interview footage included in the bonus features as well. Hopefully this great band will get back together again one day, but in the meantime this DVD will be there to watch again and again. ![]() megadeath good metallica bad, a great dvd, hard drivin yada yada the only beef i got is the bass guitar is inaudible, on the opening to peace sells but whos buying i was like uh excuse me i got your 5.1 over here and you give me this......dave is a hell of a bass player i would just of liked to hear him during this concert......up the irons er....megadeath will be back |
