![]() This DVD rocks!! It takes me back to the 80s and makes me reminisce about how wild and crazy it used to be - well, maybe I mean how I used to be, hehe. It's got an overload of 21 uncensored videos, including my favorites: Girls, Girls, Girls, Looks That Kill, Wild Side and Dr. Feelgood. It also has alternative versions of some of the videos. And thanks to all of those who exposed the secret videos!! I can't believe I would've been missing out! The personal playlist is an awesome feature because I can mix up the order of the videos to suit my mood. I thought the interview with Nikki and Tommy was entertaining, to say the least, hehe. This is by far my favorite Crue DVD, it keeps my interest all the way through and it's not missing a damn thing! What more could you ask for? But remember, the uncensored version is the one to get. I don't mind dishing out a couple extra dollars to watch the videos they way they should be. ![]() Hip-O is releasing a series of Motley Crue videos ~ their latest release "Greatest Video Hits", features twenty-one uncensored performances, with fifteen that have been edited. DVD features are in full frame with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound in English ~ the cues are "GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS" (X-rated version), "DR. FEELGOOD" (alternate version), "PRIMAL SCREAM" (uncensored), "MISUNDERSTOOD" (uncensored), "HELL ON HIGH HEELS" (uncensored), "HOME SWEET HOME" ('91 remix) ~ special features interview with Nikki & Tommy ~ Text & Photo Galleries ~ Personal Playlist ~ Discrography ~ DVD-Rom features ~ Weblinks ~ much of the video could never appear on television. The bonus material with the alternative and uncensored versions is a music collectors dream, a must have for Crue fans. Take a glimpse back into the '80s with this metal group having a blast, doing what comes naturally...performing and playing their music...gotta love it! Total Time: 90 mins ~ Hip-O 61058 ~ (11/11/2003) ![]() Look, folks, easter eggs and cool menus DO NOT a good dvd make. Like most people, I bought this format for quality. And the sound quality on this is substandard to say the least. Some songs are loud, some are quiet, and others fade in and out. And the differences in volume are not so subtle they can't be noticed. So this is not nitpicking and "whining", and the deaf dude who thinks everything's perfect needs to give his miracle ear a tune-up. I bought this only because it was on dvd, and I expect certain standards to be met. Maybe I don't want to turn the volume up and down, just like I don't want to hold an antenna up in the air to listen to the radio. Get it? I still give this 3 stars because it's the only Motley dvd with non-boring content. But the quality should have been better, and every time I hear it, you can bet I'll whine some more. ![]() If you are a Crue fan, this DVD is definitely worth it. I don't like how the disc "freezes" for a couple of seconds while loading in the 'Damn Video' section, and the Enslaved video was a big disappointment for sound and video quality. They didn't include the All In The Name Of... live video as well. But other than that it's great. I didn't experience any sound problems which I've heard others complain about. For the reasons I have listed, it didn't quite earn 5 stars though. ![]() Dear Motley Fans, First of all, i write this with respect to those of you who have stuck with the Crue. As far as the volume problem, do you have a remote control? The hidden Features are great, thanks to those who passed them on. As for complaining about the footage from "Take me to the top", and "public enemy" how many of you own a copy of Motley's Uncensored? This is the same footage that the band cracked on! Note to Mr. Smith of Fontana, CA Under Extra crap select Playlist, and you can have any order you like. |
